Yesterday I was sitting alone when warm waves of memories filled my mind, memories of those new experiences, new place, new colors, new stories, memories of the Kaleidoscope ceremony in Sydney!!Kaleidoscope is hard to put in words, I can go on and on about the different colors that existed and made the event a great time of our lives. Remembering the starting day...
"A lot of simple things are many times unsaid and the pain remains not to have shared them..here is a piece to all mothers including my lovely mom who is the reason of all my success and all that I have achieved...I love you so much mom".Mom, did I ever tell you how much I love the way you hug me when I...
This October I went to Australia to attend the launching event of a three-year-programme, Oxfam International Youth Partnership. It was a get-together of 300 youth from 100 countries to bring positive change in their communities. I was among the five persons selected from Pakistan to attend this wonderful event and it was like getting a noble prize. And going to a place I...
Have it ever occurred to us what exactly are we doing with our lives, are we living the way we ought to? Are we the true picture of what we might want to become? Or are we climbing on the right wall towards our mission in life?. We would in the end find out that we don’t know! We don’t know what path...
The UN reports that more than 1,000 women are killed in Pakistan in the name of 'honour' every year. According to the latest survey in year 2007 1,317 women in Pakistan were killed in the name of honour, about thousands which are not registered. The law seems to be deliberately blind to these incidents and there hasn’t been any serious action taken on...
Ever remember oh dear fatherCradled in your hands was once your only daughterYour eyes were sad, your voice have shookGlint of love did shone in your first lookThings changed the very moment of my lifeYour features changed, boring like a knifeI looked toward you with doubt and hopeClutched your dear hand for supportI had come in the world knowing notWhat misfortune with me...
I sit there on the bank of the happy floating river, thinking of something I don’t even know about. But, I do this every day and it soothes me right throw my deepest thoughts in the wonders of life beyond what I have ever seen, until………………..until my mother calls me to wash the dishes, clean the house or pick up hay for our...
Our car was much in effort to call off the people who were jammed in middle of the road, they seemt to be oblivious of the horn continuously blazing. In other places the traffic uses horns to inform people to make way, but I guess in Karachi the procedure is just the reverse. We had to use the other way and finally getting...
Just right now I was reading about Sharons perspective of changing the world. "Changing the world", seems to be a far more broader a thought and thinking about it like sharon said, make us feel as if we were starting a revolution. Well I must say that starting a revolution has never been the answer to the unending questions about changing things about...
In the twilight of Years lasting days
I lay and think of me
Of what went wrong and what was right
And what the result might be
I think to my thoughts knowing not
Of all those times that I haven’t ever thought
Of all the times I regretted knowing
And the moments I couldn’t help throwing
I thought nothing of the dear life
All I thought was of me
When was it I ever smiled and the reasons weren’t just me
Those were the people around the circle of life
When they meant nothing to me
Amazed I m at the beauty of life
For there is more to it you see
You bump in usual stuff you say
You run-into people everyday
You never glance back up to them
You never realize what life could be
If only you stop, halt and think
Of all the times you bump, run into and mingle with people
As your age goes from a plant to tree
Then you 'll see
What you lost
What you missed
Celebrate the moments of that you are unsure
Life is heavenly, light and pure
Celebrate the seconds like they were all your age
Celebrate what’s right with you and the world
Celebrate the success for which you thrive
Celebrate the kaleidoscope of life!
I lay and think of me
Of what went wrong and what was right
And what the result might be
I think to my thoughts knowing not
